Problem: CDs keep jumping and skipping

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Check for dirt and dust on the CD. CDs aren't that strong, so only clean them with a soft cloth.

Problem: CDs keep jumping an skipping but they aren't dirty and they are in good condition. Also, the CD player often can't start and shows an error message when I put a CD in.

Solution 1: Could be a number of problems but it sounds like a misaligned CD read head. You can fix this yourself (Google "Fix misaligned CD read head") but it will invalidate your warranty, so only do it if it's out of warranty and you are aware of the risks of damaging your CD player by opening it up.

Problem: CDs keep getting scratched after I play them

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Sounds like something is scratching them in the CD bay. If you can see inside, try to see or feel for anything sharp that might be doing this. BE CAREFUL! Don't cut yourself doing this!

Problem: CD error!

Solution 1: Not much to go on here! Try checking that the CD is spinning smoothly and that the central spinning mechanism is spinning straight.

Problem: CD is accepted into the tray and tray closes as normal. The display just shows the text 'Reading' for quite a time e.g around 20 seconds, then the display shows 'Open' and the CD tray opens. This is happening for all CDs that we try. I'm guessing that there is some issue with the laser? Anyone else had this? Thanks

Problem: We are having an issue where a CD that used to play, is no longer working (without having being taken out of the unit; actually, we can't take it out of the unit). We began hearing a rattling sound after hitting the play button. We saw an Error message displayed. At this point we tried to eject the CD but the door did not open. Shut down the unit (both standby and then the main switch), but after turning it back on, there was no improvement. We tried this multiple times without success. Any suggestions as to what may be going on? How can we "force" the opening of the CD tray? Thank you.
