The link between audiolab and laptop gets lost intermittentl sometimes it resumes after a few seconds but now and again it has to be switched on and off to restore link

Hello, I own a 2011s audiolab 8200CD Player and I am quite satisfied with the sound.
Unfortunately there is a distortion to be heard that gets a bit annoying. Quiet piano parts sound
a bit overrid and distorted at the top end. The output level is set to 0db.
My setup is an AppleTV als a streamer, connected via toslink and a Philips TV connected via Coax 1. Changing the filter mode does not give any improvement. Even the output from CD gives the same result. I assume there is a mistake referring to the internal DAC? Could you give me an advice how to solve the problem? Kind regards

Same problems as DAVE. Switch on the CDplayer push the start button, the display show traks and clock is running as if it is working, but there is no sound. Then, after a number of switch off and on eventually produces sound. I must say I have a 8200CDQ brand new, for two weeks now, and the problems showed up from the very beginning.
Any help?

The player would not respond to any of the controls, then message appeared on display-'update software, press play and hold for 20 seconds'. After carrying out this instruction the display went blank and player still does not operate.

Hi

I using Audiolab 8200CD and the message on the display reads 'Loader error".

I can't eject the disc neither can I play. The main board is 8200(C)D(Q) Rev 1.11 Jaw 29 Aug 2010.

Can you help?

Hi everybody ,
I have been very pleased with my 8200 CD but occasionally having inserted the CD then waiting for 'reading' then no of tracks etc., then pressing play , it doesn't!, the clock works as if it is playing, but it produces no sound at all. So I do the usual thing; switch off and try again. Often, then it plays. But just as often, it doesn't. So, of course, I switch off and try again. So far, I have always got it to work OK after this, but should I have to put up with this after all this expenditure? It seems to be getting worse lately. I have had the 8200 for nearly 2 years.
Can you help?

Cheers, Dave

Problem: CDs keep jumping and skipping

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Check for dirt and dust on the CD. CDs aren't that strong, so only clean them with a soft cloth.

Problem: CDs keep jumping an skipping but they aren't dirty and they are in good condition. Also, the CD player often can't start and shows an error message when I put a CD in.

Solution 1: Could be a number of problems but it sounds like a misaligned CD read head. You can fix this yourself (Google "Fix misaligned CD read head") but it will invalidate your warranty, so only do it if it's out of warranty and you are aware of the risks of damaging your CD player by opening it up.

Problem: CDs keep getting scratched after I play them

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Sounds like something is scratching them in the CD bay. If you can see inside, try to see or feel for anything sharp that might be doing this. BE CAREFUL! Don't cut yourself doing this!

Problem: CD error!

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Not much to go on here! Try checking that the CD is spinning smoothly and that the central spinning mechanism is spinning straight.

Problem: display reads tray blocked

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: If I had an empty tray, the tray cannot be opened. So I have to leave a CD inside the player, the next time I switch it on I can open the tray and replace with another CD. I don't know how long this will keep working. Definitely something wrong with the mechanism from the Audiolab 8200CD.
